Comment on ``Relaxation of collective excitations in LJ-13 cluster''

Abstract
We comment on the explanation offered by Salian et al.
for the abrupt onset of damping in collective excitations of an atomic cluster.
We note that this effect cannot be due to the cluster
escaping from the global minimum potential well because the critical energy
lies below that of the lowest known transition state.
